Enhancers
Performance enhancers are a variety of supplements that are taken to increase physical performance. Examples of performance-enhancing supplements are caffeine and creatine. The caffeine from eg coffee is a completely natural central stimulant preparation and works in such a way that it increases performance shortly after ingestion. Caffeine-based supplements are therefore usually taken on an empty stomach about 30 minutes before exercise. It increases physical performance by blocking the body's fatigue signals. Creatine is also a completely natural performance-enhancing preparation but acts more slowly and in a completely different way in the muscle's metabolism and helps to release energy. Creatine is often taken daily for a period of time so that the body can replenish its creatine phosphate stores, which in turn contributes positively to the body's ability to perform physical work.
